Downtime Explanation and Update
Published April 02, 2008 by David Greiner
At 9:30am (US Central time - see this in your own time zone) this morning, all customers were unable to login to their Campaign Monitor accounts. As of 11:11am, these problems have been resolved and everyone can now access their accounts.
What happened?
Power issues hit a bunch of our servers, including the database servers. Our web, storage and mail servers came back up correctly, but we had some additional problems with the database servers. After working with the technical team in our data center, everything is now back online and running smoothly.
What we're doing about it
Now that the problem has been fixed, we'll be working with our hosting provider to get more details on exactly how this happened, as well as take the necessary steps to ensure an outage like this can be avoided moving forward.
Thanks again for your patience, we know how frustrating this can be when you have something important to send. We'll be updating this post with a post-mortem soon. Thanks also to everyone who got in touch when they spotted this.

@meanoiano We were just passing on a customer created survey, but still count all other votes, which I've just done with yours. ^DG
