Our template builder has been crazy popular since we announced it back in October last year. Since then you guys have crafted more than 100,000 custom templates and sent them to more than 150 million people. Today we've rolled out a few highly requested tweaks to give you a little more flexibility with your designs.
While we make it easy to customize almost every part of your design and content, there were still a few English-only items that you couldn't tweak. Things like the wording for unsubscribing, sharing the email on Twitter or Facebook, and updating your preferences. This meant a lot of you had to export the template, make these changes locally and then import the template again. That's not fun.
That all changed today. If you're sending campaigns in a language other than English, you can now choose the language you'd like to use in a new drop down on the "Basics" pane.
This will instantly translate all of these non-English terms into the language of your choice. Of course, the change is also reflected in the mobile optimized version of your template that we build for you automatically. The instant mobile preview is still a favourite feature of mine.
On top of these extra languages, we've also added the much requested ability to make your header a link. Whether your header is a custom image you imported yourself or plain text, you'll find a new option under the "Header" pane that lets you set the URL.
We automatically make this link and image/text editable in the editor, in case you'd like to keep it unique for each campaign you send while still re-using a single template.

Abattoir - that’s French for “goodbye”.

I’d like to see what someone with crazy skills could do with this template builder.
Maybe you could consider adding a ‘template built’ section to your email gallery?

Can you add either a stock or editable ALT tag to the header image so that it plays nice with mail readers when not loading the images? For example Thunderbird?
21st July
Hey there Fernand, you can add ALT text to this editable header image in the email editor. Simply click the ‘Edit’ button and you’ll be given the option to change the image, link and ALT. Hope that helps!

It’s missing my native language. How can I contribute?

Hello,
in the Greek translation “TABLE OF CONTENTS” is not translated.
The word is “ΠΕΡΙΕΧΟΜΕΝΑ”
Please add it.
Thank you,
Dimitris

Hey there Dimitris, many thanks for the suggestion. You can customize this text in the email editor - here’s an example.
We’ll keep this in mind for a future update, but for the time being, it’s very easy to change when editing a template. :)
