If you're using FreshBooks, Xero or Harvest to manage your business expenses and wish there was an easy way to roll email campaigns sent via Campaign Monitor into the mix, then imera sounds like the service for you. Designed specifically for teams that sell email marketing to their clients, imera provides the missing connection between sending campaigns and processing invoices.
While we've really converged on making Campaign Monitor as streamlined as possible for folks sending email campaigns under their own label, there are scenarios in which our built-in billing and invoicing isn't a good fit with how designers and agencies record billable tasks and charge their clients. For example, you may send campaigns on behalf of your clients and want all charges to be automatically recorded in your accounting app. While you're at it, you may want to merge a whole bunch of separate line items into a single, monthly invoice. imera can help, by automatically raising invoices, making it possible to include additional charges on top of our PAYG or monthly pricing, create billing templates and invite your team to work collaboratively. As a result, you can really take the legwork out of managing your email marketing expenses.
Visual loveliness aside, imera's beauty lies in its focus on making billing easy for email marketers. For many of our customers who either send many campaigns, manage many clients or make a fair amount of revenue from email, rounding up charges on a per client basis can be a real chore.
Instead of picking through the Billing section of your Campaign Monitor account, imera allows you to process sent email campaigns and charges (both new and historic) and group them by client. Once you link up Campaign Monitor and imera using your designer account credentials, a new invoice will be automatically created in imera whenever a campaign is sent from any of your client accounts. This invoice can be edited, then either pushed to FreshBooks, Xero or Harvest, or alternately, exported as a CSV or PDF.
PDF invoices can be rebranded with your logo and billing details, ready to send to your clients.
Another nicety is the ability to share your imera account with your colleagues. Similar to Campaign Monitor's team collaboration, you can send out email invites and yes, I know what you're thinking - palm off your invoicing to someone else while you focus on creating and sending darn fine email campaigns.
Regardless of whether your business treats sent email campaigns as standalone charges, or rolls them into a bigger offering, there are good reasons to get excited about imera. As the developers are keen to get your feedback, it's currently free to use while in beta - be sure to let them know if there's an alternate billing app you'd like them to support, too! To find out more and try it for yourself, swing by the imera site.
