Welcome to the first of the David Berg Center’s regular e-newsletters about upcoming events, opportunities, and news. We have designed it primarily to serve students, faculty, and the larger business community, though anyone interested in the practice and teaching of leadership and ethics in business will find it helpful. The newsletter will go out once every six months, and we hope it will be a welcome arrival in your inbox.

New CPLE Class — Welcome!
The Certificate Program in Leadership and Ethics welcomes its third cadre of students this fall. Thus far 20 students have been accepted into the third cadre. But it’s not too late to apply! If you or someone you know is interested in pursuing the certificate, information and applications are available online, or contact CPLE Coordinator Ray Jones.
New Dean: John Delaney
On August 1, John T. Delaney, a respected labor-management scholar and innovative leader, became dean of the Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration. Read more about the new dean.
New Directors: Undergraduate Research, Faculty Research, and Mentor Leadership
The Berg Center recently appointed Jay Sukits as director of undergraduate research, Barry Mitnick as director of faculty research, and James Wilson as mentor program and leadership specialist.
Each of the two research director positions are designed to be a conduit between researchers and the Berg Center office and to inform prospective researchers about grants available to them for topics associated with ethics and leadership. The mentor program and leadership specialist will work with students in groups and individually to identify career goals and possible obstacles and will match students with business mentors.
