    Threadless Weekly Newsletter

    Designed by skinnyCorp

We were over the moon when the design institution that is Threadless starting using Campaign Monitor for their weekly updates (which we already subscribed to).

For those new to the concept, Threadless is like an endless tee shirt competition where you can submit your own designs and buy some of the coolest tee shirts on the planet.

The weekly newsletter features the latest designs to be printed, reprints and other related announcements. Just the like the site, each issue's copy is very well written and to the point. The sample image for each tee also makes it super easy to scan for any designs you might like to check out.

    Wendy Bellissimo Announcements

    Designed by Element Creative

We loved this great looking monthly email newsletter sent by designer, author and mother Wendy Bellissimo.

The color palette, type and general design style are refreshingly consistent with the products being sold. The newsletter aims to keep customer up to date with the latest releases and it does just that, simply and professionally.

The unsubscribe copy is also well written and almost makes you feel guilty for clicking it.

  3. Via Alley Newsletter

    Via Alley Newsletter

    Designed by Ben Hsu

Via Alley is a brand new initiative aimed at igniting the creative spark in all of us. The site features a growing online gallery, unique store and forum - and they chose Campaign Monitor to send the best bits to their community each month.

The newsletter design is unique but remains consistent with the spirit of the site. How cool are those salt and pepper shakers!

Only one complaint, this newsletter really doesn't work well at all with images turned off. The importance of designing for this situation is getting increasingly important and is something every email designer needs to be wary of.

Today we're going all country and featuring a great looking weekly newsletter for US radio station KKCS.

For starters, you really can't go past the denim background. Each of the main stories are concise, well written and easy to scan. On top of the high quality design, the newsletter also includes very useful info like upcoming events that might interest their listeners and the latest releases to hit the airwaves.

  5. Lakewood Croquet News Headlines

    Lakewood Croquet News Headlines

    Designed by Tom Carmony

I always had the impression the only requirement to play croquet was grey hair. Boy was I wrong!

You know you're in for something different with a tagline of "Mallets plus morons equals mayhem". Follow that up with allegations of player sabotage, nasty rumours and stories about records being smashed and you've got a pretty interesting and well designed email newsletter.

I'll never look at a croquet player the same again.

  6. Spoiltchild Monthly Newsletter

    Spoiltchild Monthly Newsletter

Designed by Alan O'Rourke (and Diana)

We absolutely love this monthly newsletter sent by the talented folks at Dublin based Spoiltchild Design.

Not only is the design absolutely gorgeous and easy to read, the newsletter also degrades gracefully in email environments less supportive of modern standards.

Stop listening to me waffle on, go and check it out!

Each issue is a great example of how professional AND easy to read an imageless and tableless email can look. Make sure you check out their studio and Jewelboxing newsletter as well.

    Great job guys!

  8. Mission to South Africa Monthly Updates

Mission to South Africa Monthly Updates

    Designed by David Ditges

Dave Ditges uses an email newsletter to keep his readers in the loop each month about his latest experiences as a missionary in South Africa.

I like how Dave goes to extra lengths to encourage his recipients to add him to their address book by linking to a full explanation of why it's such a good idea.

  9. AirClic Mobile Newsletter

    AirClic Mobile Newsletter

    Designed by Elizabeth Herberg

Today we're featuring a nice looking corporate newsletter for software and mobile information services company Airclic.

The newsletter balances articles, product updates, events and free downloads nicely. Of increasing importance these days, the newsletter is also very easy to read with images disabled.

Listing the contents of the newsletter at the top of the email is also a nice idea, but it would have been even more effective if each item was a target that scrolled straight to that item in the newsletter.

  10. Thrive Africa Newsletter

    Thrive Africa Newsletter

    Designed by Alece van Rensburg

With the G8 conference happening today, we thought it would be a great time to feature a nicely designed newsletter about a cause aimed at fighting poverty in southern Africa.

The designer does a nice job of balancing the lead story with secondary items and upcoming events. The header design is consistent each month and very similar to the web site, creating an important visual link that reminds subscribers where they signed up.

Nice to see the address book request issue being covered as well.
