Kripy
Designed by Arturo Escartin
Kripy is not a narrowly focused newsletter - "Based in Sydney, we handpick only the hottest goings on – openings, launches, gigs, art, film, fashion, everything". Visually the email is strong and striking, with the black and red theme carried top to bottom.
Check out the way that the link formatting makes them almost into graphical elements sprinkled through the text, and the little introduction at the botttom for people who have been forwarded the email.

Hello Campaign Monitor ... thanks for the accolade. I’ve just completed a post in which you kids feature. Here’s what I had to say: I used to roll with another application but the little things they didn’t have made all the difference: charging me a flat hosting fee even if I wasn’t dispatching; no automatic bounce management; average reporting and; no sense of community. Campaign Monitor shows a genuine interaction with the community offering support, tricks of the trade, a design gallery for ideas and a high level of transparency that gives the product a life. A living, breathing, web application. I may have lost a WYSIWYG editor (I can hand-code tables with the best of them) but I made a new best friend. Thanks again for the props!
