DHL Express
Designed by Rolf Inge Holden, DHL Express
We’ve taken notice of how our longtime customers DHL Express have been sending increasingly focused campaigns lately. This email is a great example of how they systematically target customers at different stages in the customer life cycle, with a relevant, to-the-point message.
Further, customers who respond to this receive a follow-up campaign upon shipping with DHL Express again.
Another nice touch is how the account number is made easily available using a custom field. It’s rare to see such attention to design and execution from multinational corporations.

It looks good but how stupid do you think Americans are? We are loosing accounts left and right. It will take a lot more than a nice looking ad to get back as a contender in the United States. Try changing the name of the company. That would be a good start.

Best part for me is the ‘No Pictures? Click here’ link in the header. Let’s face it, that’s all that needs to be said and the only reason anyone should need to ‘view a web version’. I’ll be adopting this simple approach rather than my standard ‘Having problems viewing this email? Click here to view it in your browser’.
Fantastic design too btw ;)

@The DHL Guy
This is actually a Norwegian DHL email, translated into English. This kind of email is an excellent way to reopen a conversation with a customer you might be losing.
