What a brilliant design – we love this announcement for Designcollectors. Designed by Duoh!, the popular Belgium design studio, it is really clean and has some clever little touches that caught our attention.

The use of a photo as a border for the main announcement looks fantastic and you can tell a lot of time was spent finding the right photo as it perfectly matches the color scheme for the rest of the email (including the red highlight).

Another nice little trick is the font stack – instead of just relying on Arial like so many emails do they’ve actually used Century Gothic as the main font for their headings and then specified more common fonts as fallbacks.

Nice use of fonts in an email. Century Gothic! Shows that attractive emails that hold up in email clients can be designed without using solid images. Nice work!
