Oh my, look at this minimalist email for Room East by the designers at Project Projects. The stark gray-on-gray-on-gray is perfectly appointed for the provocative artwork they are showcasing. As a viewer, I am drawn in, presented a perfect focal point, and allowed to discover the details that surround it. The layout eschews texture and dramatic contrast thereby drawing the user closer with a soft voice, rather than with showing off and shouting.

It’s not often that we come across press releases here, but this is definitely a far-cry from the bland sales pitches that you tend to receive in the media industry. Like the works therein, this is a design to admire.
