Current Show:David Crane, Suze Lindsay & Laura Ross
David Crane: "The pottery that I make is guided by a curiosity about how the shape of a pot might tie to its surface embellishment. My artistic vocabulary is nourished by numerous and wide ranging influences... Whether intended for the kitchen, the table or the mantle, it is my hope that the pots will enrich the user’s life."
Suze Lindsay: "My use of the vessel/female metaphor lies in the subtle suggestion of figure in form. Vases have soft female curves and decorations that imply clothing. Many of my forms are raised on a pedestal like foot that serves as a "skirt". My method of stacking various volumes allows me to play with human proportions..."
Laura Ross: "... one could spend a lifetime making pots just to create one of those few cups or bowls resting in the kitchen cabinet which is chosen each morning. It is my intent to make pottery that is selected because it functions effortlessly in the dance of daily use as well as having an energy and life force that make a connection with the user.."

Featured Artist:Niel Hora
" Surroundings and experiences, such as concepts from my Biological Sciences degree, affect (my) work both directly and indirectly. My artistic interest runs the gamut from sight to touch. For me, functional pottery is a boundary that contains and breaks. I am intrigued by visual immediacy and the deceptively simple."

Previous Show: Joy Brown & Karen Karnes
Joy Brown: "My work reflects the influence of the Japanese aesthetic resulting from my childhood in Japan and apprenticeship in traditional Japanese ceramics."
Karen Karnes: " My pot can sit solidly on the table, full of majesty. Then the fullness can begin to rise, at first only indicated by the shadow that deepens under each piece, until the volume hovers..."
