“Upwards of 10,000 entrepreneurs, technologists, DIYers, creative professionals, and enthusiastic knowledge-seekers will gather for a unique blend of networking, information, and fun.”
If you had 5 minutes on stage and 20 slides, what would you say? This is the premise behind the countless Ignite talks hosted across the globe each year. Kicked off by the folks at O’Reilly in 2006, this phenomenon has grown into an online and offline hit. We’re proudly supporting the upcoming Global Ignite Week, spread across 70+ venues worldwide during 1-5 March, 2010.
With geek talks covering everything from hacking chocolate, buying used cars to HTML5, there’s really something for everyone at an Ignite. Even if the topics still fall outside of your interests (unlikely), there’s still the opportunity to meet great folks from your local developer and design scene, share ideas and ultimately, get swept away by the frantic energy of the Ignite presentations. Did we also mention that it’s an amazing party?
We’re proud to be getting behind Ignite events internationally, including a speaker appearance at our local Ignite Sydney. Here are a few of the gigs that we’re supporting:
- Ignite Sydney – Tuesday, 2 March – Featuring talks on everything from location intelligence, journalism, to um, email, this event is penned to take be the biggest Ignite that Sydney has seen yet. The Campaign Monitor team will be there to meet, speak, and cheer on the show.
