From day one, Campaign Monitor was built by web designers, for web designers. By building something we needed, we’ve been lucky enough to meet the needs of lots of other designers and developers too.
Since Campaign Monitor was launched, we’ve received lots of great support from the design community in the form of reviews, thanks, praise, suggestions, feedback and help from all over the world. As web professionals we’ve also benefited from many great conferences, meetups, discussion lists, publications and events.
So now we’d like to give some support back to the community which has supported us. Our first big initiative was last years launch of the Email Standards Project, aimed at making designers lives easier by encouraging the industry to adopt standards. We’ve been very happy with the results so far and have plenty more work ahead of us.
While the ESP is one way we can give back, we’ve also done our best to provide sponsorship and pizza money for several different events and groups. Today we’ve formalized that idea, and are officially launching our **Campaign Monitor Giving Back** program.
If you run a local meetup, a Refresh group, a design event or any other web designer focused activity, we might be able to help you out. That could be in the form of free Campaign Monitor email credits for your newsletter, or even stumping up for some food and drink. You can see a sample of some of the recent groups and events we’ve been helping out on the giving back page.
While we can’t promise to support every event or activity (we’ve got our own budget to work with) we would like to help out as many groups as we can. So head over to the giving back page and complete the application form if you’re interested. We’d love to hear from you!
