If you’re not using them yet, our templates functionality is a very cool way to let your clients create and send their own email campaigns based on a design you’ve put together for them. It let’s them send beautiful emails without breaking your design or generally making things ugly. Combined with our white-label and pricing mark-up features, it’s also a great way to earn passive income off your clients.
Building Campaign Monitor templates is also a piece of cake. With a few simple tags, you can quickly turn any HTML email into a re-usable email template. Here’s a quick video showing how our templates, combined with our simple WYSIWYG editor make it easy for your clients to send their own campaigns.
Today we updated our template documentation, including a new sample email template with comments explaining each tag and how to use it. We also included a simple PDF cheat-sheet containing all the template tags you can use when building templates.
We’ve also had some great request from you guys on ways we can improve our template language to give you and your clients more flexibility in the types of templates you can build. We’ll be sharing more on that soon. In the mean time, if you spot anything missing in the documentation, or have any ideas on how we can make building templates even easier, we’d love to hear them.
