Thank you! Our giveaway has now ended. Congratulations to everyone who won – we’ll be sending a poster to you shortly.

Our essential guide to CSS support in email has had a major update! So you don’t ever get in a jam over what works and what doesn’t across the most popular desktop, webmail and mobile clients, we’re giving copies of it away as a limited edition print, ready to display in your office. Here’s how to get your hands on one.

Since 2006, our guide to CSS support in email has remained the most comprehensive and reliable source of information on which properties and rules work in email newsletters. But while we’ve kept it updated, it was about time that it received a serious overhaul.

Modern results for modern newsletters

While much of the guide may look the same, we’ve certainly gone to pains to ensure it accurately reflects what’s relevant to email designers today. Updates include:

  • Refreshed CSS results for the major webmail clients – Outlook.com, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail and AOL
  • Up-to-date results for Apple Mail 6.5, Postbox, Thunderbird 17, iOS 7, Android 4, Gmail and Windows Mobile 7.5
  • New, email-relevant CSS properties – max-width, min-width, text-fill-color and text-fill-stroke
  • Support for @font-face and @media in email clients
  • Support for HTML 5 media tags – <canvas> <audio> and <video>

All up, we really believe this is an incredibly useful resource for email designers and coders – and are happy to announce that it’s now available as a stunning poster.
