When it comes to releasing useful new WordPress plugins and add-ons for Campaign Monitor, developer Lee Willis is an absolute powerhouse. So it’s with great pleasure that we announce two of his new add-ons for the popular WP e-Commerce and MarketPress plugins, as well as a premium version of the Ajax Subscription Widget. All are immensely useful Campaign Monitor integrations for filling your subscriber lists with either paying customers at your online store (WP e-Commerce and MarketPress), or simply site visitors via your posts and pages (Ajax).
Automatically add customers to your subscriber lists
When it comes to adding stock-standard Campaign Monitor subscribe forms and plugins for your sites, examples abound. But how about if you want to give your customers the option of subscribing to email updates at checkout? Lee Willis has tackled this problem by offering add-ons to the WP e-Commerce and MarketPress plugins, allowing you to do just that. Both add a ‘List Stats’ report to your WordPress dashboard, so you can track how many new signups you’ve received following purchases from your online store (see pictured).
List building aside, what we love about these plugins is the potential to set up post-sale follow-ups and customer care via email, using autoresponders in Campaign Monitor. For example, you could schedule a ‘How are you enjoying our product?’ survey invitation to send two weeks after the purchase. Or alternately, a reminder email to renew a membership, a year later. We always love tripping across the novel ways our customers are using our autoresponders and these add-ons allow you to really extend the creative boundaries of your post-sale email updates and announcements.
Ajax Subscription Widget: More powerful than ever
In addition to the add-ons above, Lee has also unveiled a premium version of the long-standing Ajax Subscription Widget for WordPress. While the free version of the plugin will continue to exist, the paid version features a host of useful extra features which may tickle your fancy (and coin purse). These include:
- Shortcodes for adding signup forms to posts and pages
- A stats view in the WordPress dashboard
- Honeypot-based spam protection
- Social sharing links on form submission (see demo video)
If you want to quickly add subscribe forms to your site and grow your subscriber lists, while skipping on the extra page loads and form spam, then the premium version of this plugin is a solid choice.
Pricing starts from $11.99 USD for a single site license. For further information on the premium version of the Ajax Subscription Widget for WordPress, take a look at Lee’s download page.
