Along with dropping all our monthly prices today, we have another exciting update to share. Sitting alongside our basic monthly plan is the all new Unlimited plan, which allows you to send an unlimited number of emails every month for a fixed, low price. It’s perfect for anyone that sends a lot of email.

No send limit

Unlimited everything from just $29/month

On top of regular campaigns, the plan also includes unlimited autoresponders, RSS to email, A/B testing and one-off emails triggered via the API. Whether you send 10,000 emails in a month or 10 million, you’ll still pay the same low price.

For those with smaller lists, our prices start at just $29/month. If you have more than 50,000 subscribers, check out our high volume prices for the Unlimited plan. If you’re a daily or very frequent sender, the unlimited plan offers better value for money than anything we’ve ever offered before.

Free design and spam testing

As an added bonus, our Unlimited plan also gives you access to free and unlimited inbox previews and spam testing. Normally $5 each, unlimited customers can now run as many tests as they need to get their designs pixel perfect without spending a cent extra. Each test shows exactly how your email design looks in more than 20 email clients and runs your email through popular spam filters to flag any potential problems before you send.

Easy to switch

To compliment our lower monthly prices and the arrival of the Unlimited plan, we’ve also redesigned the billing settings in your account. Just head into “Client Settings” and then click on “Change Billing details” to switch to the Unlimited plan with a single click.

Easy to switch to unlimited pricing

Easy to resell

For our resellers out there, we’ve also made it very easy to offer the Unlimited plan to any of your clients. Just like our basic monthly plan, you can also mark the prices up and automatically earn a profit every month.

Markup the unlimited plan

We’ve been trialling the unlimited plan with a number of bigger customers since the start of the year, and it’s been very popular with our frequent senders. No more hitting send limits or getting bumped up to a higher tier for the month. Just one low price no matter how much you send. We’re really excited to see how it’s received now that it’s available to everyone.

I’m really glad you finally lowered the prices of the high-volume plans, but aren’t these unlimited plans the same as the “normal” plans before?

There weren’t sending limits on most (-50,000) monthly plans before either, so they were “unlimited” as well, just a bit cheaper? The only new thing I can see here are the free spam and design tests.

Could you elaborate on the differences between the plans before the change and the new unlimited ones?

  • David Greiner

Hi Lennart. All our high volume plans (more than 50,000 subscribers) always had a send limit, all we changed was a big reduction in prices. The Unlimited plan is a brand new concept for those with more than 50,000 subscribers.

You’re right in that we previously didn’t have a send limit for those plans with less than 50,000 subscribers, but we’ve also been careful to grandfather this for any existing customers that are used to sending a lot of email. If you ever sent more emails in a month than the new send limit, we’ll keep that client send limit free for life.

So, the real difference here is that the monthly prices have dropped for all existing customers, and if they were previously big senders, they can keep sending lots of email and still get access to these lower prices.

The big change is the support for unlimited plans for customers with more than 50,000 subscribers (plus the free unlimited testing), which isn’t something we’ve ever offered before. I hope that helps clarify things a little, but please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Jason

David: As long as my current client is continuing to be able to send unlimited emails each month to their list of 14,000, what happens if their list grows into one of these new groups?

  • McRae

We’ve been using the $250 / month unlimited monthly plan and regularly have been exceeding the new limit (125,000 emails per month) but today we are being prompted to upgrade to the new unlimited plan. Your comment above explains that we should fall into the category of existing customers who should be grandfathered in to be send limit free for life, correct?

  • Diana Potter

@McRae, You’re right you should be grandfathered in. It looks like you emailed support and we’re checking your account now and will reply soon.

@Jason, if your client is grandfathered in as unlimited sending when they hop up to the next tier they’ll be charged the next higher price, but keep that grandfathered status. This would drop off once their subscriber numbers go into the high-volume territory (over 50,000 subscribers), since the former unlimited tiers didn’t reach that far.

  • Kandace

Even if your client hasn’t yet hit the send limit, shouldn’t you be grandfathering everyone in? We sold these plans to clients as an unlimited plan.

  • Joe

Wow… you guys are REALLY good at marketing spin. You claim you lowered your prices but in reality you raised the for some of us. As you stated there was never a 50,000 emails a month limit before. And now you start limiting us to 50,000 emails a month, regardless of list size? Further more we’ve had to have exceeded that limit to be grandfathered in? Anyone that has been using these plans should be grandfathered in….

I chose CM because I expected things to get better not worse. I wanted to grow my list with you guys. You guys are already a ton more expensive than MyEmma.com. Looks like I am going over to them.

  • Ros Hodgekiss

Hey there Kandace and Joe, were really sorry for the trouble we’ve caused you and others. We did think about these changes long and hard and tried our best to impact as few customers with this transition as possible. The change in the plans allows for a lower price overall and for those moving over to the Unlimited plans, we did add on the ability to run an unlimited number of design and spam tests, without added costs.

We’d like to reach out to both of you and discuss the impact of these changes to your existing clients, so if you have a moment, by all means please get in touch. Again, we’re sorry if these changes make us not quite as good a fit for some as before, but we’re keen to work with designers through this on a case by case basis.
