While much of Campaign Monitor’s appearance and workflow have progressively changed, one thing that has remained constant is the header and elements therein. So, the time has finally come to give it a new, modern look, while not messing up any existing customizations.

All accounts have been switched over to display our new header. While it’s a fairly subtle change, it’s likely something you or your clients will notice when you next log into your accounts. Don’t worry – the theme colors and branding in your account will remain the same, so you won’t need to tinker with anything.

A more consistent experience

Redesigned header in all accounts

The changes to the app aren’t strictly skin-deep – as part of this header update, we’ve also reworked the client drop-down menu to make it a touch more responsive. Buttons across the app have also been given a refresh for consistency and to make the workflow a little more intuitive.

Updated screenshots for agencies and designers

If you sell email to your clients and use images from our app in your marketing materials, you can get a head-start on refreshing them with our up-to-date agency screenshots. If you haven’t seen the new Agency Resources on our site yet, we’ve got white-label screenshots, guides, case-studies and more to rebranding just that little bit easier.

Overall, the idea behind this update was to revisit some of the elements in our header that were looking a bit dated and make them faster, cleaner and simpler to use in the process. Naturally, we’d be keen to hear your feedback when we roll out this new look, so feel free to let us know what you think in the comments below.

Apparently “modern” = “flat and dull” (though I only have your little snapshot to go by). Have you been taking lessons from Microsoft in interface design?

  • Jonathan

Oy, grumpy. Go and get a cup of tea. You haven’t even see it yet.

I was thinking just the other day that the header hadn’t changed since I signed up a couple of years ago — was hoping for a refresh like the main site (some really nice touches on here).

I await it’s arrival with baited breath!

Dean, my wise dad used to say. If you can’t say anything nice, shut the f*#k up. :-) I really like the header layout. Well done guys and girls.

Great stuff. I’m loving all the little (and not so little) improvements over the past wee while. Keep up the great work!

  • http://redbubble.com Russell Greenwood

Looks like a fine improvement – and especially flexible looking for anyone who end up customising it. Well done guys.

I’ll have to go along with Dean here. You know you can really make a design “pop” with judicious use of drop-shadows, inner bevels and relflections. You guys should give it a go. It’s all the rage.

I was only thinking a couple of weeks ago that the site was looking a bit dated, but the new look is a great improvement!

I see this visual artifact in some grid views: http://prntscr.com/14q79j

    Chrome v26.

  • Chris M

Looks like the visual artifact I saw was reported to your Twitter handle and is already fixed. ZAP.

Thanks for the awesome comments guys, much appreciated. Chris, glad you spotted that, we fixed it up pretty quickly, but thanks for sharing.

    @chris M
Bevels and drop shadows are so yesterday.

Seeing as though you’ve revised the header, could you add more colour options? Or the possibility for people to enter custom hex codes than just selecting a colour from the limited list? This would help with matching brand styles a bit better :)

Hi Thomas, thanks for letting us know this is something you’re after – we’ve had a few requests along these lines, actually! Will keep you posted if this is something we add, thanks again!

@Chris I enjoyed that ‘off the radar’ sarcasm. I always look at the CM site as a great example of clean, clear, clutter-free presentation of information. Less is more.

It’s a shame that the only screenshot for agencies of the worldview shows the USA.

    Aren’t you based in Australia?

What about those of us in Europe?

  • http://www.campaignmonitor.com/our-story/meet-the-team/#rosh Ros Hodgekiss

Hi c-m, sorry about that – most of our customers are based in North America, so this was the obvious first choice. If you could kindly contact our team, we’re more than happy to come up with screenshots for you :)
