The Role:

As the Email Marketing Manager, you will be tasked with developing and building email newsletters and campaigns to reach existing subscribers. You’ll be tasked with developing the emails in HTML and CSS as well as using marketing automation tools to reach the intended person, with the right message, at the right time. This role will work as part of wider digital campaigns, but the majority of time will be spent on email specific activities. To be successful in this role you should demonstrate the ability to create accessible and engaging emails.

REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager of Email and Lifecycle Marketing

In this role you will:

  • Analyzes the effectiveness of campaigns, providing actionable insight for data-led optimization
  • Develops email marketing strategies with the goals of increasing engagement, lifetime value, loyalty and MQL generation
  • Collaborates with campaign managers on campaign strategy and execution, and facilitates lead management including enrichment and nurturing
  • Partners with the Design and Content teams to improve the appearance and layout of emails, ensuring emails are optimized, user and mobile-friendly
  • Executes A/B and multivariate testing
  • Supports the execution of a variety of digital project work (marketing emails, newsletters, campaigns and promotions)
  • Distributes emails through the use of automation software
  • Understands and adheres to pertinent regulations and best practices
  • Monitors and reports on the efficacy of each campaign
  • Supports subscriber data management
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, and email design principles
  • Experience with industry leading ESPs (Marketo, Eloqua, Campaign Monitor, or similar
  • Degree in Marketing Management, Advertising, Communications, or similar work experience
  • 4+ years of email marketing experience
  • Basic understanding of segmentation, list management, and deliverability
  • Experience using marketing automation to deliver customized, multi-touch, multi-channel customer and prospect journeys
  • Proven experience creating high-impact, unique marketing campaigns
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Cloud (Photoshop, Dreamweaver specifically)
  • Basic understanding of marketing channel reporting and experience optimizing campaigns by relevant KPIs
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with product marketing, creative, sales, and legal teams
  • Excellent project management skills specific to marketing
