I'm setting up an auto-responder which sends a user a voucher when they subscribe. How do you guys approach this to stop people using more than one voucher?
Is there software you use or just include the email on the voucher?
This is for a restaurant so the vouchers will be redeemed "in-store"
Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.
Hi Mike! My first thought was the same as yours - pass the email address to an autoresponder email and instruct the restaurant staff to note which email addresses are being used.
A more secure method would be to pass a uniquely-generated code from the subscribe form to a custom field at subscribe time. This code can then be displayed on the autoresponder email and checked-off when the voucher is provided in-store.
In both cases, the restaurant staff would presumably have access to a paper list of new subscribers, or have client permission to view new subscribers in Campaign Monitor.
The more elaborate option would be to build an integration that displays new subscribers and allows restaurant staff to check them off a list by name/email address.
Thanks, Mike! Looking forward to hearing everyone else's advice, too :D
Ooh. Fantastic idea. Thanks :)
