Email rendering issues with Outlook using Chrome & Firefox

Anyone help here please?

Designed the new company email template due to go live shortly, and upon testing, all clients are good expect Outlook using Chrome and Firefox - all paragraph spacing and margins have been lost. I have been trawling through help sites, but nothing specific...

Any advice?

Seems Outlook.com doesn't support margin: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/

Perhaps setting it as margin-left and margin-right might work? Otherwise use empty table cells instead.

can anyone clarify this? I typically use margins on paragraphs (excluding margin-top as it's npt supported everywhere)

Hi Redferret, like JohnP, I can confirm that you won't have luck with the margin or margin-top properties in Outlook.com. In theory margin-bottom should work and you can also use line-height to help with this, too.

Takes longer but I use cells and rows to define spacing. That way you know it's going to be absolutely bullet proof.

Thanks Ros, that helps, I never actually use margin-left or margin-right but i always thought they were viable, as long as i've got line height and margin-bottom i'm happy! :)

It's so messy though and not very practical where scalable templates are concerned,

Ros, EmailonAcid have issued a post stating that even our beloved margin-bottom is out. Surely theres a work around somewhere

Redferret, i'll be looking into a workaround next week. No promises that one will make itself available, but I'll do my best and keep you updated :)
