I'm redesigning and testing an email campaign.
I'm planning to use animated GIF to rotate the main promotions.
As anybody used animated Gif in email campaign before and how does it affect deliverability.
I welcome all information with loads of love.
I've used animated gifs a bunch of times, with no effect on deliverability that I could see...I guess it depends on your file size and how many frames you add. There is a post on the CM blog about animated gifs from last year...
Here is the post Anna mentioned:
From an email client perspective, I doubt that any of them are actually checking gifs to see if they are animated or not, so I would expect no impact on deliverability.
I read the post already. the only thing I could say so far is since i added an animated Gif my message go straight in the junk folder on Gmail (old version) and outlook 07.
I did not found any problems so far while testing manualy and when I check on my Litmus account, all of the spam report are positive, but for Gmail and Outlook 07.
