sending text-only emails

Hello, I am new to Campaign Monitor and can't seem to receive my text-only portion of my email.

I thought if you set up your campaign to be sent as html & text-only, the text-only portion is delivered if the users email program is set to read just text. I tried this with Outlook 2003 and received my emails as text-only, but it seems it's just the html email converted to text, so I see the links, etc, but not my message I put in the text-only screen when I set up the campaign.

Hope I made sense. What am I doing wrong?

Hey Julia,

Unfortunately while Outlook claims to support showing email in plain text, it's actually broken and won't work. Fortunately, there are other free email clients you can use to easily test the plain text portion of a HTML/txt email. We've written a full post on this here.
