Importing Images

I know this ought to be simple, but I'm not have much luck this afternoon.
I have a single image for my mailing; call it logo.jpg
I placed it in a directory called IMAGES.
I zipped up the directory into a file called images.zip
I import it and no images show up.
Help! and Thanks!

Hi John

I'm not sure why you need to zip the image. So long as logo.jpg is referenced in your HTML with a link to  where the image is hosted eg http://www.yourdomain.com/images/logo.jpg, CM will pick it up and import it when you import the HTML.

Can you explain a bit more?

Hi John,

Is your HTML expecting the image to be in that images directory? It could be that the path to the file and your folder don't match and that's why the image isn't showing up.

Let me explain again as I am starting to understand what I am trying to do ... I think!
I have a client logo that I want to place in the email which is an invitation to participate in a survey hosted elsewhere.

So I only have one image that I am trying to upload to Campaign Monitor. In my html text I reference that image as being in the same directory as my invite letter. CM requires that images be uploaded in a ZIP file. So I zipped up logo.jpg and uploaded with my invite html.

When I preview, everything comes up fine except for the logo.

Hi John,

Putting the image in a separate directory is likely your problem, since you stated that the html references it as being in the same directory as the html. You can zip the image separate of a folder. If you're using something like winzip you should be able to just right click on the image itself and add that to a zip. Otherwise you'd need to edit the HTML to reflect the images folder.
