I've searched the forums and can't find anyone asking this, but I had a query regarding multiple logins for each client. Is this something that you ever plan on adding as a feature (multiple, or sub accounts)? We've had a few requests from customers that want to give their marketing division access to reports, but obviously not the ability to mess with the campaign area at the same time.
Just wondering if this was something that ever gets requested, or I'm the only one. If you're deliberately choosing not to set it up this way, I'd love to know why for my own knowledge.
I agree - I'd like to provide seperate access to the stats.
I just got a request for this. is this something you are planning to implement?
It's not currently planned - we've had a few requests, but in many cases just sharing the login is good enough, and of course there is plenty of other improvements to be getting on with.
We'll certainly add your votes to our list though.
Glad to hear our votes are counted :)
I know every feature is as important (or more) than the next, and I look forward to new features in general. Just thought it was odd that no-one has mentioned it on the forums, given that it's been such a huge request from our customers to us (in fact the only feature request over the past year). I figured that with the hundreds of thousands of customers CM has, it would be up there.
Simply the statistics amuses me.
I know this is an old thread but this feature would be very helpful. Please count this as my vote!
Another vote for multiple login/passwords for a single client.
same here - add my vote
We too would very much like support for multiple logins for each client, even if they all have the same permissions.
Yeah, I agree, really need this feature. Thanks.
Why this should be bumped up the feature list:
CM competitors are targeting franchises and organizations with a distributed marketing team. Having more than one login (with the ability to control which templates/permissions the users have would allow CM agency partners to target bigger clients that would be sending much higher volumes of email. It would be like signing up 10 clients with one account.
A vote from me as well - two clients have asked for this now.
Any news on this?
Thanks for the additional votes - at this time it is not something we are considering, as this is still quite a small percentage of requests compared to a ton of other things we're working on. We do see how it could sometimes be helpful, but for a lot of people it would not add anything.
Add another vote for multiple logins with varying permissions. My client would like to have some users be able to send campaigns and others only to have access to reports.
How about giving the possibility to make all the report pages public through a generated public url for each campaign that you could pass on to your clients or marketing team?
I think that would be a really sweet solution as it a) wouldn't clutter the user interface that much and b) is probably less complex to develop. Plus, it's an addition to the fairly basic "Export Report"-PDF option.
+1 for multiple logins. It doenst feel right 2010 to have multiple persons sharing the same login/password.
Thanks, folks. I've added your votes for this feature. Ditto to what Mat said above, however we'll keep you posted if it's something we intend to release in the future.
I know it's noted.. but I want to add a +10 for this feature.
We frequently have need to have multiple clients have access to their account. It's a very bad security protocol to share login information between users. It completely removes accountability and tracking info.
We don't need to start one of these, do we? http://fixoutlook.org/
Thanks for a great product. Can't wait to see what amazing features are coming down the road.
Yep - same here - would be a great feature
Add my vote !
Yes, +1 Vote from me, sharing login info with a whole bunch of people just does not feel right :-/
Campaign Monitor Kicks Butt! Love it!
+1 vote on this feature though, as it's the ONLY issue that comes up with my larger clients.
From Australia to Zimbabwe, and everywhere in between, companies count on Campaign Monitor for email campaigns that boost the bottom line.Get started for free
