unsubscribe in body text

Hi

I've created a template and added <unsubscribe></unsubscribe> links to header and footer - all work fine.

However, I want to put <unsubscribe></unsubscribe> tags in on of my articles via the editor, but even if i put it in using the html source view and it still doesn't work - is this not possible (or am I missing something?)

Thanks
Ric

It's not possible to use the unsubscribe tag inside the content of an editable template - they just don't get parsed there.

It will only work, as you have found, in the template itself.

Hi Mathew, I got caught-out by this, too (I was using the <forwardtoafriend> tag). I think the documentation for this on your site could be much clearer…

http://help.campaignmonitor.com/topic.aspx?t=97 :

a quick glossary for all the different tags we support in that you can include in your email content, whether you are using templates or not.

…this glossary includes the <unsubscribe> and <forwardtoafriend> tags.

http://help.campaignmonitor.com/topic.aspx?t=36 :

as simple as adding the following tag to the content of your campaign.

as simple as adding the following tag to the content of your campaign.

I'd count the content of an editable template to be part of the "content" highlighted in the quotes above.
