Subject Line Indentation

We have setup an email campaign but the subject line keeps displaying indented quite a bit. We have tried re-typing the subject line and creating new campaigns and nothing has worked.

Here is a mock up of how they are displaying:

Regular Email Subject Line

Campaign Monitor Subject Line - Preview

Another Regular Email Subject Line

Have been talking to support and they are trying to re-create the problem

We are having the same problem as of today - haven't seen it before. Definitely not in the subject field for the campaign.

Be good to get an ETA for the fix asap - we have a campaign due out this morning.

We're looking at this right now - as Jay has posted above, there has been a change, but we are unable to replicate the spaces in any setup we have tried here (combinations of Outlook 2003, 2007, XP, Vista etc).

It appears to only be happening to Outlook, but what version or setup of Outlook is causing the problem is not yet known.

We'll update as soon as we have more information.

We seeing it in Outlook 2003 on Windows 2000. Not seeing it in Gmail - so fits with what you are observing.

Is there somewhere on the Campaign Monitor site where you announce new releases (regardless of whether they are expected to change anything noticeable) so that we can understand why/when things might have changed?

Not sure if it's related, but I am a paying customer for the litmus service (litmusapp.com) and The Spam Analysis report is returning an error concerning the subject encoding.

Why did my email fail some filters?
Below are some of the reasons given by the various filters as to why your email did not pass.

It looks like your subject line was encoded twice. Check your encoding.

Any thoughts ?

UPDATE.. I think it might be caused by the use of accented characters in the subject.

@ gprovencher - this is an unrelated issue actually. Whenever the subject line reaches more than a certain number of characters, the email spec requires that the encoding is repeated, so we are doing the correct thing.

Unfortunately, spam assassin flags that as occurring more in spam, and assigns the points. See http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/spamassassin/users/72190?nohighlight=1#72190 for more discussion of that.
