A client has brought up an issue with their template which I can't seem to figure out and I was hoping someone here could help me.
When my client receives their own newsletter they see the 3 line auto preview in Outlook as the html links to the images that first appear in their template (spacer gifs in this case), however when I receive it my auto preview shows me the text only version and I can't replicate the html issue. Is there any way I can force the text only version to show, or is there anything I can do in the template that will stop the html from showing?
Thanks in advance,
Unfortunately from the sending end, what the preview shows is out of our (and your) control. Some Outlook installations will show the text version, most will show the HTML version.
In many cases, images won't be downloaded either - see http://www.campaignmonitor.com/blog/post/2559/current-conditions-and-best-pr-1/
You best bet is to make sure you have some clear text right up the top of the email that everyone will see.
