Preferences HTML tag and editor

I noticed that when the <preferences></preferences> HTML tag is added in the email message (using the HTML code preview of CM's WYSIWYG editor), it is not creating a link to the Preference Center page.

This HTML tag seems to only work if it is placed into the email's original template.

Is this normal/expected behavior or a bug?

Hi Michael,

You are right, it will only work in the template, not in the editable content. This is a technical decision based on the way content is added before a list is selected.

Ah... that explains why such a small percentage of folks didn't update their details the last time around. Thanks Mathew!
