I am based in Australia. I have several Australian clients and US clients who are wanting to pay via AMEX.
I thought that if I setup all payment options in $USD that AMEX would show as a payment option, but all I see and my clients will see is Visa and Mastercard.
How do I enable American Express as a payment option?
You got the way it's supposed to work right and I just tested it myself and get Amex as a choice at a client level. Are you sure you have them set to pay on their own and of course, chosen USD? (I have to ask :D)
If i choose "MyClient will pay themselves" I see Amex as a choice at client level.
If I choose "MyClient will pay themselves at a marked-up rate and I'll pocket the difference" Amex is then not available to my clients.
Am I missing something?
Yup, this is a legitimate bug. We'll try to have a fix for this pushed up early this week.
Thanks for the email communications Travis. This feature is now functioning correctly.
Cheers and keep up the good work :)
Hi guys I'm having the same issue. The post above says the bug was fixed a year ago but It's not working again.
There was a period where AMEX wasn't working for the last day or so, but that's been sorted out and it should now be available for you again. Sorry for the hassle.
Similar situation to the above. We have a client paying themselves and AMEX is only an option if we set the currency to USD. They are based in Australia however. Wondering if this bug has returned? In the mean time I have set their currency to USD but would prefer AUD.
I'm afraid we don't support AMEX in Australia dollars Brad, only for US dollars. It's a different process and system to implement for each country unfortunately.
