Has anybody else noticed a problem with Gmail and HTML email? A message that displayed correctly yesterday no longer does. Gmail is ignoring all <p> standard spacing.
Unfortunately, Gmail seems to have a habit of breaking something like that on a regular basis (as does Yahoo). It's generally browser specific as well. Have you tried adding in a margin-bottom:1em to your paragraphs? That generally corrects the paragraph spacing issues that pop up in the web based email clients without breaking it elsewhere.
Thank you Diana. That fixed it. Ahhhh, HTML email are so much fun. What worked literally yesterday may not work tomorrow...
No kidding! We generally recommend keeping the bottom margin of 1em all the time, just because Yahoo or Gmail seems to break paragraph spacing in Firefox or IE every couple of months it seems like. It's a pretty reliable fix. The joys of email though, can never rely on code working twice, at least not with web based clients :).
