Have you tried using different char sets? eg
<meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type">

I dont think that it is feasible for me to try that out since it would break all of my existing content.

You just place the char set at the top of your campaign eg:

<meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type">

No actually what happens is that users get the emails wrong in the inbox in the recipient, and the names are listed wrong in the campaign monitor user list itself.

Hi alinux,

How do the recipients get added to the subscriber list?

I see that the form isn't using the code generated in your account - are you using the API, a plugin, or importing files?

Could you provide a link for you signup-page? This is definitely a character-encoding related issue. I'm using the API with nordic characters without problems.

Found the link on your site ;)

I see that you've added the content-type metatag and I guess it works now?
