I've read your suggestions concerning maximum line width for plain text emails. I love the recommended line width that appears in the plain text version. I've also read your instructions that suggest that some software has the ability to automatically wrap lines. But I have no idea how to do this so I have to manually adjust each line which is very time consuming.
Aweber has an auto-wrap feature for plain text emails. You click a button and the text is automatically reformatted to fit the maximum recommended line width. I'd like to see this in Campaign Monitor.
Alternatively can anyone tell me how you achieve this?
there's a handy little online text formatter I use that should suit your purposes - you can specify how many characters each line should be and it preserves whole words - try it for yourself.
This is perfect - thank you.
I'd like to see a list of third party resources like this listed somewhere. Anyone else?
I would still like an "auto wrap" option.
Actually, in Campaign Monitor we recently added the automatic text import which takes the HTML from your campaign, strips the tags out and leaves the plain text as a quick start to adding the text version.
It also wraps it nicely to our suggested width, so that might save you some time.
