I'm having a shadow spacing issue with Outlook 2007.
Here's the current code:
<h2 style="margin:0;padding: 0;"> <b style="height:2px;display:block;"></b> Bulldog Pride <b style="height:2px;display:block;"></b> </h2> <img src="title-shadow.gif" width="400" height="6" />
I can't figure out how to fix the shadow separation in 2007...
Thank you!!! =D
Height is not supported in Outlook 2007, and something (probably the <b>'s) in that code is causing the space.
Sorry, ignoring the inline styles and <b> tags, the spacing issue was still happening before I inserted those.
The original code was:
<h2>Bulldog Pride</h2><br /> <img src="title-shadow.gif" width="400" height="6" />
And it was still causing the spacing issue.
Try removing the <br /> in that last code you sent and place the image in a <div></div>.
If the space is still there, then Outlook 2007 is adding padding/margin to the <h2> tag.
try putting it in a table aligning the words to the bottom of the cell and the image to the top of the next cell
<tr><td valign="bottom"><h2>Bulldog Pride</h2></td</tr>
<tr><td valign="top"><img src="title-shadow.gif" width="400" height="6" /></td></tr>
Thanks polecat! With some added "cellpadding" and "cellspacing" I was able to get it to work exactly how I wanted.
Thanks BThies, but I wasn't able to get your recommendations to work correctly.
I'll play around with the tags some more to see what may have caused the original issue.
There's more than one way to skin a cat... but don't tell anyone I skin cats. ;-)
