Is there an update on the way, taking care of the Scandinavian letters (Æ Ø Å - æ ø å) in email lists???
For example. the names, addresses, company name in an email list.
I really miss it .... it's just crap sitting with a list of more than 2000 recipients and should go through it manually ...
Is there a solution ??? if not, I would really appreciate one soon.
Scandinavian letters do work fine in subscriber lists and campaigns. Just make sure the files you're importing are UTF-8 encoded.
If you're using an online subscribe form, the page that the form is on should also be UTF-8 encoded.
You can email us the details if this isn't working for you, and we'll have a look.
It is usually extracts from our CRM system, "Dynamics NAV" ( to Excel)
Then I save the list as a comma sepereret txt file. and import it to the CM.
Then I get this character instead of æ,ø,å in names, adresses. etc..
If you try opening the file in a plain text editor like Notepad before you import it to Campaign Monitor (after you've saved it as CSV in Excel), you can click "Save As ..." and select UTF-8 encoding.
All æøå characters should work fine then. Could you give it a try and let me know if it doesn't work?
Thanks for your help, it worked fine.. :-)
