Exporting Reports: Defining a Date Range

I have just read the excellent blog on Measuring up email and social media. In there somewhere it mentions about email's capacity to drive traffic over a longer period relative to social media. I usually export and share campaign reports on request but I guess that way I am not really providing directly comparable data. It would be handy if I could set a date range before exporting reports.
