I'm wondering how you create an email template in Mandarin Chinese?
Is it as simple as using utf-8, gb2312 or big5 as encoding or is there more involved for emails?
Which one of the three are recommended?
Does every email application/webmail support this encoding?
Thanks for you help!
Hi FH, we recommend you use UTF-8 for Simplified Chinese character encoding. Just be careful to save your files using UTF-8 encoding, too. Note that not all email clients may render UTF-8 as they should (eg. Hotmail), but generally I've found it to be fine. Take a look at our quick help doc on foreign character encoding.
