cleaning up my lists

I'm getting pretty low 'open' rates, despite all my subscribers being double opt-in or otherwise qualified for the list. Some of them are several years old. I have found that about half my subscribers did not open any campaign emails during the past year. I realize that the 'open' statistics are not entirely accurate for various technical reasons, however it would be nice to have a way to remove the dead weight on my lists - it's costing me money.

Anyone have thoughts on this.

Hi Fred,

You could perform a re-subscribe type campaign asking everyone to confirm that they wish to stay on your list. That way even those who aren't tracked as opens have a chance to stay on the list and you'll be assured that after only those who truly wish to stay on the list do so.
