I have been testing my campaign with several different email clients and in each, the images contained (jpgs) in the email fail to entirely load on the initial display. Some load, others don't. I have fully optimized the images and while the images are stored and served internally by your servers, they timeout. However, upon refreshing the page, the missing images completely load. Is this only an issue with the test campaigns servers, or is it all served from the same?
We actually serve all the images from our CDN (content delivery network) which is spread around the world. You can read more at http://www.campaignmonitor.com/blog/post/2790/cdn-upgrade/
It may be that you were having problems connecting to the particular CDN those images were from. We're not seeing this problem reported by others at the moment, and in our testing externally the images are all loading pretty quickly.
Please contact support with details of the particular campaign if you are still seeing issues, and we can try to replicate it from here.
Thanks for the quick response.
I actually just ended up creating a new template and absolute linking those images externally and adding the cm_dontimportimage tag to those images that didn't require link tracking.
Works smoothly and loads immediately now.
