I have a customer that wants to do the following: they have a mailing list of approx. 10,000 paying members, and on any given day between 15-30 of them have a birthday. They would like to send a "happy birthday, here's a coupon for X% off" email to customers on their birthday.
It seems like this would be easy to do from a technical standpoint, using the API and a custom field for birthday to select the recipients each day. However, how would this map to CM's campaigns and the ability to track statistics. Would each day's email to 15-30 recipients be a separate campaign for which they would pay? Could they track the conversions and clicks and whatnot across all mailings (or by week, month, whatever?)
Thanks in advance for the advise.
Sorry for the very late reply.
Right now, they would all be separate campaigns and reporting, so not ideal for your needs, but autoresponders is something we are definitely looking at for this year and it would cover this kind of need quite well.
So thanks for your feedback.
i can arrange this for you if u like,
offcourse its not gonna work through campaign monitor.
but with the aid of my own developed emailing software,
wich i developed as an add on cq. replacement for CM when CM is not capable
of doing the wishes of my clients....
drop me an email if u want me to help you out : rob.gevers @ studiofresh . com . au
greetz and hope to hear from u !
Hi packetslave, we're pleased to announce that autoresponders are now available in all Campaign Monitor accounts. That's right, both designers and clients can send once-off and ongoing triggered campaigns such as welcome emails, birthday greetings and reminders. Priced at 1 email credit each with no delivery fee, autoresponders are also an economical way to stay in touch with your subscribers. Find out more.
Hopefully it's not too late for you to consider us, we'd love to hear from you. Our autoresponders would certainly be a good fit with what you're trying to achieve here.
