I have created a template for a client which includes images. I'd like the image links to always open in a new window ... surely a simple target="_blank" somewhere will do it, but where do I put it?!
The template code looks like this:
<repeater toc='true'> <h2><$title link='true' default='Enter your title'$></h2> <br> <p><img src="<$imagesrc link='true'$>" width="490" height="200" /></p> <$description default='<p>Enter your description</p>'$> <br /> <div align="right"><p><a href="#" target="_top">back to top</a></p></div> <br /> </repeater>
Any links clicked on via an email should technically open in a new window anyway.I That aside, I can't see anyway of this being done unless the link is created manually.
As Jordan mentioned, most likely it would just work that way in almost all email clients. Are you testing in an email client where that does not happen?
It isn't possible to define it through the editor unfortunately.
I am thinking more for when readers have clicked on the 'click here to view in a browser' link ... but thanks for your responses anyway.
