image maps and <unsubscribe>

It would be nice if <unsubscribe>blah</unsubscribe> allowed you to generate <area /> link for an image map instead of the <a> tag.

You can use the [unsubscribe] form to output just the URL, which should help you.

Given the somewhat patchy support for image maps by email clients, I don't think this can be called best practice.. Plain text links are always best for unsubscribe links.

Thanks a lot! I thought an image map was a decent remedy for CSS inconsistencies, but I will rethink it now and will probably have to budget more hours for each job.
