Custom Image Not Showing

Hi,

We are attempting to use a Custom Field to generate a url to insert a customer logo into the body of their email.  In the majority of cases the image works correctly, but for a small number of clients the image will not appear even though if we manually type the url in a browser the logo appears.

If they choose to view the email in a web browser, then the customer custom logos appear just fine.  Why are the some of the customer logos showing in a browser, but not in our Apple Mail client.

Here is the source from two testing emails, both working and non working.  The first image is the customer logo and the second image is an event logo we have uploaded with the template.

(Working)
<td width=3D"300" class=3D"logo" style=3D"text-align:center;pad=
ding-bottom:5px;" ><img src=3D"http://www.recruitingprosoftware.com/images/=
Terrapins.gif" alt=3D"Your logo" width=3D"155" height=3D"133"/></td>
            <td width=3D"300" class=3D"logo" style=3D"text-align:center;pad=
ding-bottom:5px;" ><img src=3D"http://i7.cmail3.com/ti/y/AC/96E/778/075434/=
images/2010_womens_nit.gif" width=3D"155" height=3D"137" /></td>

(Not Working)
<td width=3D"300" class=3D"logo" style=3D"text-align:center;pad=
ding-bottom:5px;" ><img src=3D"http://www.recruitingprosoftware.com/images/=
Pride.gif" alt=3D"Your logo" width=3D"155" height=3D"133"/></td>
            <td width=3D"300" class=3D"logo" style=3D"text-align:center;pad=
ding-bottom:5px;" ><img src=3D"http://i7.cmail5.com/ti/y/AC/96E/778/075434/=
images/2010_womens_nit.gif" width=3D"155" height=3D"137" /></td>

Obviously the size ratio for each image is different.  Could that be causing the difference?
Working
Terrapins.gif            155x137
Not Working
Pride.gif                   155x91
Lady Monarchs.gif    155x132

Any ideas as to why certain images or not showing or what we could possibly do to troubleshoot?  Everything else in the emails seems to be working properly.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Paul

Hi Paul,

That is an odd one! Is it only happening in Apple Mail?

Hi, we are having the exact same problem. Apple mail is the client causing the problem. Did you manage to find the cause?
