I have created and sent an email which includes dynamic personilsed URLs but we've found the click rates on Campaign Monitor (CM) compared to site visits are very different. On further investigation it appears that when users click the link in the email it goes to a CM URL before redirecting to the final URL and in this transition users are being lost. After a little digging it appears that it's either due to timeout issues on the redirect or the fact that some corporations block automatic site re-directs for security reasons. Is there a way round it and why does the link appear as a CM link and not my final destination URL? I assume it's down to tracking but in this instance it is causing quite a problem.
