CNAME set up

Hi there,

I'm trying to set up a custom domain but I'm having trouble adding the CNAME value to our DNS records.  Our DNS is managed by Borderware Firewall Software and it allows me to create new hosts for a domain - i.e., and then aliases for that host.

Now I had assumed a CNAME was the same as an alias but I believe I've confused the issue.

I fully understand how to create a new host for a domain and how to point it to an external IP - but this isn't the way Campaign Monitor advises going about it.

Can anyone shed a bit of light on this for me? Or does anyone simply know how to obtain an IP Address which I could simply forward to.

Many thanks

Hi Hassan,

Not all hosts let you add CNAME records through the online interface, so if you can't find it there, you might need to get in touch with their customer support to have this record added.
