Template 9 Border Problem

In Template 9 of the free email templates, the horizontal border put underneath each <h2> entry has a ~2px white space above and below each line in Outlook 2007.  It is not easy to see in the default template, but if you change the background color to something slightly darker, it sticks out.  The related CSS code is:

      td.mainbar h2 {
         font-family: 'Lucida Grande', sans-serif;
         font-size: 16px;
         font-weight: bold;
         color: #a72323;
         margin: 0 0 4px 0;
         padding: 0 0 4px 0;
         border-bottom: 1px solid #cbcbcb;

Any ideas on how to fix this?

There shouldn't be any line above based on the CSS, but if you want to change or remove this color you have to change this line:

border-bottom: 1px solid #cbcbcb;

The issue is the margin and padding.

Remove that CSS for the border, margin, and padding.  Add margin-bottom:0px to the CSS.  Then nest a table with the border on the bottom:

<table width="320" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">
    <td width="320" style="border-bottom:1px solid #cbcbcb;">
         <h2>Nullam egestas feugiat felis</h2>
         <div style="font-size:4px; line-height:4px;">&nbsp;</div>
<div style="font-size:4px; line-height:4px;">&nbsp;</div>

EDIT:  Now that I'm looking at that template, whoever designed it didn't put the correct number in for the left column's width...
