Removal of unsubscribe

Why is it required to use an unsubscribe tag?
I work in an organization where the employees are obliged to receive the newsletter from the management. Therefore it would look very foolish if I add an unsubscribe option.

We require the unsubscribe so that we can make sure anyone who does not want to receive the email is removed from the list, and we don't send to them again.

That's a pretty major part of how Campaign Monitor maintains good deliverability. We do understand that for some specialised situations it does not make sense, but for the overall benefit of the subscribers, Campaign Monitor and our other customers we require it in every case.

Make the unsubscription fun! "Anyone who actually tries to unsubscribe, get to meet the BOSS, one on one!"

Just kidding. ;-)
