What software is powering these forums? I like it.

This is a heavily customised version of PunBB - see http://punbb.informer.com/

Haha, thanks for asking, I was curious about that too...

What made you guys choose this software instead of other? The simplicity perhaps? I know you don't really "recommend" any software, but I'm curious about the reason for your choices...

(Me and my weird questions... :D)

I had a look at the popular choices back when this was first implemented, and most of them had so many unnecessary elements on every page.

PunBB was the most lightweight by default, and then we stripped out a bunch more to get what we wanted.

Hmm... I must agree with you on that. The popular phpBB is great, sure, but way to big if you want simple and lightweight forums... Thanks for the reply on this.

As a side note... Perhaps you noticed it, but the link to the comment target is invalid.
It's always refering to the user's post as "viewtopic.php?pid=15200#p15200". But the working methods should be "viewtopic.php?pid=15200#comment-15200". That is, according to the current HTML structure (a structure you could change to be "p[POST-ID] if you'd want to).

You might wanna tweak that, since it's a little fix for greater functionality!
