First of all. Well done with Campaign Monitor! We just discovered this nice piece of software and now start to introduce it to our customers :)
I got one question though: We use custom fields in subscriber lists and find that they are kind of hidden. Is it possible to display the custom fields direct in the subscriber list table? Even better if it would be possible to sort or filter these tables.
Creating Segments does work and would do the desired effect but creating segments isn't that straight forward. Especially because many of our customers aren't tech minded people.
It's not possible at the moment to show custom fields in the list view, though I will record your vote for some way to do that.
Segmenting as you mentioned is the best method right now though.
Thanks for the reply. A shame that it is not possible yet.
Would be great to have such a feature in a future release.
Yup. this has my vote too. We have lists where we want to see more than Name and email in the subscriber list view. It's really irritating to have to click on a member of the list to view the rest of their details. This view should be customisable.
Hi Matt, welcome to the forums! No worries at all - I've added your vote internally for this and will keep you posted if it features in an upcoming release. Many thanks for your feedback!
Any progress on this front? I'm still on my trial, and this seems like an unnecessary limitation. Is the custom field data stored in the same database as the email and name field data? If so, can't the query that outputs to the subscriber list view simply call whatever fields exist? Having to export every time I want to sort by country or whatnot is a major pain.
Thank you, and happy 2013!
Hi Keith, we've had quite a bit of interest in displaying custom fields as another column in your subscriber lists, but we haven't yet lined it up for a specific update, I'm sorry to say. I've noted your interest and hopefully we'll get onto this soon.
Out of interest, are you creating and exporting a segment to get all subscribers that belong to said segment (over say, exporting the entire list)?
Thanks, Keith - I'll be sure to keep you updated on this one. By the way, I noticed you mentioned a 'trial' - just to clarify, accounts are free to use forever, you only pay when you send. Let us know if you have any questions about this and have a prosperous 2013, yourself! :D
Please just do this. WHO is voting against it. We are going to look at changing over this issue now.
Really guys? 6 years ago this was requested........
I'd need that too unless there is an other way to watch all the colums of a list ? I'm stuck right now without this :/
