OWA Rendering in Firefox Preview Panel leaves spaces below images

Hello,

I have been designing email templates and trying to iron out all of the cross browser bugs that I can.  I noticed some strange rendering problems that show up using Outlook Web Access (OWA) in Firefox but in the preview pane only.  Once you open the email up in its own window in OWA it renders fine.

Essentially the bug manifests itself in using images very close together in a table.

I have added all of the usual fixes (ensuring that the <td> that contains the image is all on the same line, ensuring that the img has an inline style of 'display: block', ensuring that the heights on the image and the heights on the <td> are identical, and identical to the image size), but there are still gaps rendered below the image in the <td>.

Here is an excerpt of my code (note, valigns have been added to make the problem more apparent, and I have replaced my image domains with www.domain.com for illustration purposes only):

<table width="50" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse;">
    <tr>
        <td valign="top" height="33"><img height="33" width="50" border="0" style="display: block;" src="http://www.domain.com/header_r1xc2.gif" alt="FortisBC Email Header" /></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
        <td valign="top" height="33"><img height="33" width="50" border="0" style="display: block;" src="http://www.domain.com/header_r1xc2.gif" alt="FortisBC Email Header" /></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
        <td valign="top" height="33"><img height="33" width="50" border="0" style="display: block;" src="http://www.domain.com/header_r1xc2.gif" alt="FortisBC Email Header" /></td>
    </tr>
</table>

When I look at the table using Firebug, the height on the <td> is reported as 37px and the height on the image is 33px (as it should be).

If I manually zero out the line height in the <td> using Firebug, the problem goes away, but if I add that as an inline style to the <td> in the email template and then send it out, the line-height is stripped.

If anyone has any other ideas on how to fix this bug, I would really appreciate your input!
