I run a legitimate ecard site. I need a email service with an API/SMTP that can help me deliver emails to the inbox of the major ISPs, particular Yahoo.
The service should let me do the following.
From: "Customer's Name" <firstname.lastname@example.org>
That is, I should be able to send the email on behalf of my customer.
I don't think that CM can do this, right? If not, does anyone have any recommendation of the sites that I can such service?
No, Campaign Monitor can't do this, as we set the return path to come back to us for bounce tracking and authentication.
You can do it with MailBuild product and add their domain name as a 'custom domain'
Spoofing other peoples addresses is generally considered bad practice, and is very likely to be filtered by the likes of Yahoo if the customers address is a yahoo one, since they'd know they didn't send it.
Not spoofing at all, it is a feature used by MailBuild
